Font used on the cover of Harold Bloom's "Genius"

I'm kicking myself for not being able to identify this. I've seen it many times. Also, which font is used for the review quote, "Luminous... the pages are crowded..."? Cover may be seen here: https://www.brainpickings.org/2013/03/27/harold-bloom-genius-visualization/

You’ve probably seen it as Nicolas Cochin. Not sure which version this is though. None I found have that damaged-looking diagonal stroke in the N.

That appears to be Cochin (sans Nicolas):

Other letters look a bit wonky too (|M|, for example). It seems more like an outline of some poor quality original set in Nicolas Cochin, rather than a text set using a font.
