Font for BBC show, VERA?

Hello, I am curious about the font used on BBC’s Vera  (title and credit roll). Bespoke? or just unusually difficult to locate? Many thanks!

I am pretty sure I had it identified some time ago, but I can’t find the post (or the typeface) again.

It was a free font made modifying Times (apparently further customised for the titles).

Hi, It is so wacky, this font, with the backwards lowercase <i> and upside-down <M> for W’s. I just can’t fathom the <F> and the lowercase <a>. Apparently, the very well-established title designer (Matt Curtis of London) has no website (that I can find). I was hoping to find a discussion where he would possibly explain some of the decisions made in this font! Thank you so much for your reply, and for creating this website.

I absolutely love the font used for Vera as well! It’s totally gorgeous. Pity no one knows what it is, I’m guessing that it’s unique.
