Anyone able to help me identify the typeface used as the basis for the magnetic letters included in the classic children's toy, Fisher Price's School Days Desk Set.

I doubt it was ever based on a specific existing typeface.

Looking at the complete alphabet,

it looks similar to DIN, with |J|K|M| taken from Univers.
