Writer/illustrator duo Matthew Swanson and Robbi Behr of Idiots’Books and Bobbledy Books collaborate with 2nd-generation printer Jodi Bortz to fuel Haywire Letterpress, a design studio that channels the beauty of letterpress printing, the playfulness of pen and ink illustration, and the fun of written irreverence into cards, broadsides, invitations, announcements, stationery, and other paper-based miscellany—all of which is hand-printed on a 1921 Chandler & Price platen press in an old barn in Chestertown, Maryland.
