John, The Jewish punchcutter & printer: Jonah ben Jacob Ashkenazi (was born in Zalosce, Poland - now Zaliztsi, Ukraine; also known as Zalozcy, and particularly in older Jewish sources Zalozitz; was among those who cast the first Turkish type) Jonah ben Jacob Ashkenazi contributed significantly to the revival of the Ladino language & literature.
