Gunarta Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 This topic was imported from the Typophile platform Hi everyone, i am looking for information about Arabic Typeface Classification. Did it really exist? In analogy of Latin typeface classification such us Serif and Sans, Display and Text, Blacklatter, Whiteletter etc. Links are also accepted. Thanks, Gunarta
Mamoun Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 No real or comprehensive classification of Arabic typefaces exists yet. If you read Arabic you can see some useful information at Khaled Muhammad Khaled blog, especially part III below: http://arabictype.wordpress.com/2011/05/17/arabic-type-characteristics/http://arabictype.wordpress.com/2011/05/21/arabic-type-characteristics-ii/http://arabictype.wordpress.com/2011/11/07/arabic-type-characteristics-iii/
