connwin Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 This topic was imported from the Typophile platform Hello all, I'm brand new to Typophile, so I'm uncertain if this is the best place for this post. (If not, please let me know, and I'll keep it in mind for the future. ;-) I'm looking for a calligraphic typeface that includes a lowercase "e" with a swash extending out from its midpoint. (Does that description make sense?) The kind that would generally only be used when the "e" is the last letter in a word or line. Searching through all the calligraphic typefaces on, say, myfonts.com is time-consuming and rather tedious, so I thought I'd see if anyone here has some good recommendations. Thanks in advance— Connie

connwin Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Exactly what I was looking for; beautiful choices. Thanks, Les!
Stephen Rapp Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I just released a typeface that is calligraphic version of a Roman originally written with a pointed pen. It has an e like you describe which can be seen in use in the gallery section.http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/stephen-rapp/spry-roman/
Anthony Barnett Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Centaur swash (found in the italic) might be worth looking at
