in search of handwriting font?

I'm in search of a font that looks most like an authentic handwritten font to address some direct mail pieces.

The advantage over the thousands of freeware fonts in that niche is that with OpenType ligatures and alternates turned on, you actually get properly connected letters and the letter variations typical for handwriting.

In the same vein, you could look at Nick Cooke’s Rollerscript and Tomi Haaparanta’s Suomi Hand Script.

Some of my absolute favorite hand-written fonts are created by Brian Wilson of Three Island Press (3IPfonts.com). He has a really nice suite of historic and modern styles. Most have a good mix of OpenType ligatures to really personalize the appearance.
