Fournier Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 I'd like to know if there are ‘notorious’ commercial uses of Venus (Venus Grotesk) in the XXth century? https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/venus/ Thanks.
Ralf Herrmann Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Can you clarify “notorious” in this context? 1

Fournier Posted April 5, 2019 Author Posted April 5, 2019 I finally found some examples. It was popular in the Hollywood of the Sixties and you could notice it on both cinema and television. ¶ The end titles for the CBS logo were set in Venus. ¶ The ABC series The Time Tunnel (1966) had its production credits with it. ¶ Some western films like Monte Hellman's 1966 The Shooting and Ride in the Whirlwind.
