hd steve Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 This topic was imported from the Typophile platform I'm looking for authentic typefaces for the 19th century stacked poster look. I'm thinking condensed slabserifs etc. I've attached an image of the look the client is going for, but I don't think it's a particularly good example. I'd also be keen to hear of any modern takes on the style. If anyone has any suggestions it'd be much appreciated. thanks, HD
kentlew Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Giza provides a very versatile Egyptian for this sort of thing. Champion Gothic, Knockout, and Bureau Grot are good for covering the Industrial Sans styles. The members of the Proteus Project offer some additional stylistic options, but aren't as versatile in terms of widths.
