Sans Serif - Futura/Avenir/Helvetica options

Hello all!

I'm wondering if anyone could help me.
I'm doing a logo project and need a sans serif.

I'm thinking something geometric like Avenir and Futura, and something classic like helvetica and Akzidenz-Grotesk.
But still it needs a twist of personality to it.

Prefferably I would like a quite newly released font (not that wildly used), but I'm open for everything old and new.

Anyone who have any good suggestions.
It would be appreciated!

Sounds like a good case for Thomas Phinney's Hypatia Sans

I would say either Gotham or Scout, but you said not that wildly used, and from the looks of 2008, people went nuts with Gotham.

Have a look at Museo Sans.

Bulldog has a contemporary feel to it.

You've also got the beautiful Benton Gothic and Vectora to choose from.

Then there's the wonderful Colympia if only someone could help me identify it.

Even the simple usage of Univers, Trade or News Gothic or Akzidenz instead of Helvetica will help the mark stand out from the crowd.
