Nick Shinn Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 It may be a good idea to acquire pen/pencil technique at an early age, as precursor to a career where a stylus and tablet are used--and there are many of these. I wonder what percentage of graphic artists use a stylus rather than a mouse, thumbs or trackpad? I do. A lot in the gaming and film industries. Wacom: 2 million devices in use. They teach music and sport at school, though very few become professionals in those fields. Speaking of thumbs, if you want to argue reductive functionalism, why bother teaching the full keyboard?
