broken4good Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 This topic was imported from the Typophile platform Does anyone have any suggestions for a serif font that pairs well with DIN? I'm looking for something that works well as body copy paired with a DIN headline. I read some of the earlier posts on DIN/serif pairs, but was wondering if anyone has found something else...thanks for any and all suggestions...
brett jordan Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 before we make suggestions, what were the previous recommendations?
broken4good Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Yes, that would be helpful, wouldn't it? The previous recommendations were Swift, Charlotte Serif, Minion, PMN Caecilia, and Melior...whew! Thanks again for any and all suggestions...
brett jordan Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 quite a few of the older serifs make an interesting contrast with din's clinical nature... try bodoni, baskerville, garamond, caslon and see if it fits your purpose
broken4good Posted May 4, 2009 Author Posted May 4, 2009 Thanks brett...I've tried out Garamond and it's working quite well!
