untilA unique opportunity to work with the legendary Kaba ornaments that were designed by the late Bram de Does (1934–2015). During a 2-day course, you will be working under the professional guidance of Thomas Gravemaker and Marina Chaccur. After brief introduction to the history of ornaments – in particular Bram de Does’s Kaba – and the use of them, all participants will have their own set of Kaba ornaments at their disposal with which they will be creating their individual patterns and compositions. These will then be hand printed by the participants on a 1960s Korrex test press using quality handmade papers. Date: 12-13 March 2016, 10:00-17:00 hrs. Location: LetterpressAmsterdam, Singel 214, 1016AB Amsterdam. Cost: 250 € (Materials, coffee, tea and lunch are included).
