    One thought: how about letting the user use natural language to hunt for glyphs in the glyphs panel? It’s a pain for me to hunt for the correct multiplication sign, the ellipses, etc., and I can’t obviously remember all the Unicode denotations… OS X’s own “insert special symbols” panel already allows me to do that:
