In 2009, Doug and Bruce decided that their life in the commercial printing world, was not to their liking. Having spent 25+ years dealing with the fickle nature of the corporate world they found themselves lacking a creative outlet.
It was the goal of the two to rekindle a lost art and become known for producing amazing work with techniques borrowed from a day long past.
Both Doug and Bruce were taught their craft by Doug’s father who kept a watchful eye over their progress as journeymen. It was only when he finally let loose of the reins that the two knew they had achieved the right to be called “Craftsmen”.
Along with Doug’s wife, Felicia and longtime friends Mark and Fredi, the two set out to build what is now the most progressive letterpress shop in the Los Angeles area. They serve customers from all 50 states and many other countries.
