The Smallprint Company is run by Hannah and Chris Barker. They met at art college and discovered in each other a mutual ambition to run a print studio. After several years in the print and publishing industries they purchased their first press, an Adana. In April 2014 they moved into Studio 0.2 at Banks Mill, an incubation hub for creative businesses. They acquired a beautiful Squintani Model no.6 treadle press, and restored it to full working order and they continue to add to their collection as opportunities arise. In September 2016 they made the leap to their very own independent studios near the centre of Derby and expanded their services to include a gallery space, shop and creative work space for hire.
Alongside the wedding and business stationery commissions and paper goods, they run workshops both large and small, and give demos and talks.
