bemerx25 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Aren't they owned by Corbis which is I think owned by Microsoft?
vinceconnare Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 Yes Corbis was started by Bill Gates to acquire the digital rights to artwork and photographs so he could use them on panels in his new Lake Washington home. Come on BillG show me the money.
bemerx25 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Well I don't know what your contract with MS for Comic Sans is, so I can't really speculate, but here's hoping you see some "cha-ching" Vince!
Si_Daniels Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Corbis is owned by Bill Gates, has no direct connection with Microsoft as far as I'm aware. I can confirm that Veer pays Microsoft exactly the same royalty as everyone that produces Helvetica t-shirts pays to Linotype. Cheers, Si
Simon Robertson Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 i can't see the shirt as i'm not in the US, can someone post a pic? (and can veer please not putting these blocks up?)
guifa Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Yeah the block is annoying. I'm sure I'm not the only one who tends to hop back and forth between the continents. «El futuro es una línea tan fina que apenas nos damos cuenta de pintarla nosotros mismos». (La Luz Oscura, por Javier Guerrero)
