Introducing the Font of the Month section

Font releases have been part of our Typography Weekly section, but that wasn’t always ideal. So Typography.Guru now has a dedicated section just for font releases. It’s called Font of the Month. Noteworthy released of the month are gathered and community members can vote for their favorites.

As usual I will be pedantic here: doesn't the "must be released in the current month" rule give an unfair advantage to typefaces released early in the month?

I know that "Typeface of last month" is less catchy 😉 and less "of the moment", but still...

We would have to wait and see. My expectation is, that the attention for every entry is similar and limited to 1 to 3 days while the entry appears as new in the feed or on social media. 

Maybe there could be a grace period of a few days to roll over late releases into the next month …

For what is worth, they don’t appear on the “unread” feed.

Thanks for reporting. I pass it on to the developer who coded this. Maybe we can change that in an upcoming version.
