    In computing, a character encoding is used to represent a repertoire of characters by some kind of an encoding system.

    German: Zeichenkodierung
    Italian: codifica (dei) caratteri
    Polish: kodowanie znaków
    Russian: набор символов
    Spanish: codificación de caracteres
